Dear Schiphol Airport, Since April 2021, I observe a regular increase of planes flying over my house at low altitude (Katwijk area, 30 Km from the airport!). No one living near me is happy with this noise issue, that can exceed sometimes 75dB. We can no longer enjoy our gardens and even rest well at night because of the planes that fly by while we are in bed. It makes the kids crazy too… Many of your customers (and employees) also live near your airport, so please respect them and do not degrade their well-being when they are at home. I am convinced that you can define alternative airways that better preserve our environment, therefore I would like you to ensure that airlines: 1) STOP Flying over Katwijk/Rijnsburg area 2) STOP Flying low over cities 3) STOP Flying at night I don’t have time to file a complaint on Internet every day for every plane that flies low over my city, so consider this one worth several thousand ;-) Thank you for your understanding. NB: Thanks also to the people behind this web site (vliegherrie.nl) who allow me to express myself. This is a great initiative and I really hope it will help to move forward on the noise pollution in the Netherlands.
