Open windows on a day like today are not as refreshing as they should be as there are aeroplanes taking off and then doing a 180 degree turn over Amsterdam Oud Zuid. They are taking off so their engines are pointing to the ground directly over a residential neighbourhood. Terribly noisy and unpleasant. I shudder to think of the particles being forced down onto a residential neighbourhood and into our lungs.
