Since the maintenance of Aalsmeerbaan, Buitenveldertbaan has been using non stop, I don’t even remember when there was a peaceful day without the horrible stretching sound from airplanes landing or taking off over this neighborhood . The daily notification on BAS is basically useless when it is just telling “During taking off peak, Buitenveldertbaan will be used for landing. Besides this period, Buitenveldertbaan will be used for take off (or landing)” so basically peak or not, this job will be used all day anyway regardless of the weather conditions, which obviously Schiphol does not care because they have already broken it for years. It is not secondary job if you basically use it everytime and everyday. There are plenty of times, Buitenveldertbaan is used as primary landing for whole day regardless the wind due to operation efficiency, sure once again this is more important than terrorizing thousands of people living in this neighborhood. All of this just proves that the current numbers of fly is just too over capacity for Schiphol to handle without creating trouble for people living nearby. It has to be reduced.
