Sorry for the disillusion and for having to share the plight of many despairing Dutch families. And yes, the noise is sickening, (even -but less so- at some 100 km away from Schiphol).
Looking for a place where you will be safe from the noise, go to https://omgevingsinfoschiphol.nl/ flight tracking. Below, you’ll find a circle. If you click on it, it opens a menu with among others a sign of connectivity (like a cable). Open that one and you’ll be able to get a 24 h. map of radar tracks. If you’ve got that, tell me if you can find one place in or around Amsterdam (or for that matter Holland) where you’ll be safe from noise and pollution? It frightens me ! Maybe you’ll be safe in the eastern or northern part of the city. I feel overall that we, the Dutch, need to put up a fight to restrain the growth of the airport and make Holland liveable again. That is what this site is for..
